Canadian Blood Services - Regina, Saskatchewan

The new members of Health Sciences at Canadian Blood Services in Regina (the old Red Cross) are currently engaged in bargaining a first collective agreement.  The negotiating committee is Carla Berry, a Medical Laboratory Technologist, Greg Lindstrom, a Biomedical Engineering Technologist, and HSAS staff member Garnet Dishaw.  Progress is slow, but after nine days of bargaining in November and December about two thirds of a collective agreement has been negotiated.  Three more dates for talks have been scheduled in mid-January, when wages, vacation leave, work loads and other important issues will be on the agenda.  HSAS members from across the province wish our newest members at CBS, all the best.
